Edo Guber: Iruekpen Standstill As APC Storms Ward 3, 4, and 6 in Esan West LGA

In a display of political might, the APC candidate for the Edo State gubernatorial election, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has continued his ward-to-ward campaign, storming Wards 3, 4, and 6 in Esan West Local Government Area.

Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the campaign, Senator Mathew Uroghide, asserted that Monday Okpebholo is the best candidate for the election. He highlighted his track record of numerous successful projects and his running mate, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, as a hardworking and capable individual. Okpebholo stated that the three senatorial districts in Edo State have endorsed him and Idahosa as their candidates.

The Minister of Niger Delta, Hon. Abubakar Momoh, also addressed the gathering, urging the people to start preparing for the incumbent governor, Godwin Obaseki, to leave the Edo Government House. Momoh praised Okpebholo’s development track record and called on the people to vote for him.

The APC State Women Leader, Mrs. Betty Okuebor, explained that it is time for the APC to reclaim Edo State, as the party is known for its “talk and do” approach. She contrasted the APC candidate’s projects across Esan with the PDP candidate’s alleged lack of development in the region. Okuebor expressed confidence that Okpebholo’s administration will bring development and transformation to the people.

The Managing Director of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Mr. Freeborn Okiya, also spoke at the event, stating that he has served for eight years and that former Governor Adams Oshiomhole has always been supportive of his efforts. Okiya expressed belief that Okpebholo and Idahosa are blessings to the people of Edo State.

Former Governor Adams Oshiomhole, the leader of the APC in Edo State, emphasized Okpebholo’s deep connection with the Esan people. He criticized the PDP candidate’s lack of involvement in Esan and accused the current administration of failing to deliver meaningful development.

Addressing the crowd, Okpebholo asked the people how prepared they are for the upcoming election. He promised a borehole water for Iruekpen community and we are going to commission the water project after the campaign and assured the people that Edo State will witness massive transformation under his leadership.
