During visitation to APC leaders across the 18 local government areas of Edo state, the leading governorship aspirant, Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe conveyed his vision for a better Edo and his plans to achieve it. Starting from Edo South to Edo Central, and ending in Edo North, his message resonated with party leaders.
Dr Umakhihe’s impressive resume, having served as director in various sectors and his retirement as permanent secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, gives him the necessary experience and expertise to lead the state towards progress.
His plan for agricultural revolution aims to transform the economy of Edo state by focusing on agriculture, increasing productivity, and implementing effective marketing strategies. He recognizes the importance of healthcare facilities and the need to recruit more healthcare personnel to provide quality healthcare services to the people.
Another key area of focus is the education sector. Dr Umakhihe plans to employ more teachers and build standard schools to improve access to quality education in the state.
