Edo State Police Command now has a new Commissioner of Police.
He is CP Philip Aliyu Ogbadu.
The new EDO state police commissioner succeeds AIG Johnson Babatunde Kokumo, mni who was recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and redeployed to Abuja as the new Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Federal Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja.
CP Ogbadu enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on 15th March 1988 as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police and attended the prestigious Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State.
He hails from Anyigba in Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State and holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State and an MSc in Economics from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu State.
A statement signed by the Edo state Police Public Relations Officer, SP CHIDI NWABUZOR said CP Ogbadu brings in intellectualism, professionalism and a zero-tolerance for Human Rights abuses.
The police commissioner says he is ready to serve the people of Edo State with humility and integrity.
He also vowed to leverage and improve on the already existing security architecture in the state.
He is married and blessed with children.
