Edo PDP Crisis: Senator Alimikhena Calls For Peace And Collaboration Ahead Of 2023

…Receives His Certificate Of Return From INEC In Benin Today

Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the senator representing the good people of Edo North, distinguished Senator Francis Alimikhena, the Oracle of Modern Development, has again called for truce among stakeholders of the PDP in Edo State in general and Edo North in particular so as to be able to have an indivisible, united and formidable party capable of making inroads into all elective positions in Edo North and the entire state come next year. While being presented with the Certificate of Return by INEC today, the Senator noted that Edo State has been a blessing to the PDP and one of those states in Nigeria generally and South-South in particular which the APC has lost in every elections, this is a good feet that should gladdens our hearts as stakeholders of the party at various levels and give a sense of undivided optimism going into next year’s election.

While thanking the ranks and files of the PDP in Edo State, the distinguished Senator Francis Alimikhena particularly had some words of appreciations for the governor, Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Comr. Philip Shaibu and the state chairman of the PDP in Edo State, Dr. Azegbemi, for the roles they played in bringing him into the PDP family and accepting his decision to contest the primary election in the party with other aspirants which eventually produced him today as the authentic senatorial candidate of the PDP in Edo North.

While appealing to stakeholders of the PDP and those who might have been aggrieved as a result of the outcome of the primary elections in the state and particularly those aspirants who put in a lot of their efforts, time and resources but eventually didn’t get the party’s ticket, the senator encouraged them to remain resolute in their resolve to making the PDP the winning party in all the elective positions come next year and assured them that the leadership of the party does not take their contributions to the party for granted and that as a united and democratic party governed by the party’s constitution, there are no winners and losers in the party and their legitimate rights will be protected and their privileges will be met.

As we await patiently for the official declaration of campaigns as directed by INEC, an opportunity we anxiously await to roll out all that l have achieved so far and my plans in the next four years for the people of Edo North, please be a part of my success story, let’s unite together, win together and restore hope and confidence in our people that the hardship and sufferings the Buhari led administration has caused them, the senator concluded.
