The Edo State Government has again made conscious move to ensure all it’s citizens have access to Education as a way of driving development for individuals and the state in general.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education Dr Paddy Iyamu made this known when he visited the Managing Director, Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) Mr Akintunde Sawyerr and his team at the Headquarters in Abuja for the partnership.
He stated that with this collaboration, students can attend higher institutions without paying fees as NELFUND will sort their tuition fees and can even provide pocket money for a year until they have jobs to pay back.
Dr Paddy thanked the State Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo and President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for providing leadership and a program that clearly shows his love for the average Nigerian youth.
The MD NELFUND Mr Akintunde Sawyerr affirmed his commitment and that of the Federal Government to ensure that they drive positive change for the good of all Nigerians
He further stated that a stakeholders engagement will follow in March 2025 in Benin city Edo state as part of the drive to help the Nigerian Youth to get the required educational skills to thrive.
