The building where Gabola’s Electrical Electronics Repair Shop is located has been brought down in flames in the early hours of Tuesday in Afobomhe-Akpekpe, Auchi.
Located along Jattu road, just before UBA junction, the commercial and residential building is reported to have been set ablaze by one Hassana who is currently at large.
Sources claim she had on Monday threatened to put the house on fire during a confrontation with Gabola and true to her words, she is allegedly believed to pulled through with the threat.
“This is not the first time Hassana has been trying to burn this house down. She has been setting fire before now but whenever she set the fire, it is quickly discovered and put out. Unfortunately, she seem to have set this one late at night and it was only discovered when the entire building had cought fire.” said a member of the Afobomhe family in anonymity.
Thankfully, even though a lot of electrical items and other materials were lost to the fire, no physical injury was caused and no life was lost.
