Enhancing Teacher Quality in Edo State: SUBEB To Train Teachers 

In alignment with the vision of Edo State Governor, His Excellency Senator Monday Okpebholo, to develop a significant methodology to train and develop all civil servants in the state, Dr. Paddy Iyamu, Chairman of the Edo Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), commenced the implementation of this initiative in the Edicational sector with the leadership of Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) in collaboaration with Mr. Aleshin Olumayowa, Director of Teacher Development, UBEC HQ Abuja.

The primary goal of this partnership is to enhance the skills and competencies of teachers across Edo State, ensuring they deliver high-quality education.

Dr. Iyamu underscored the necessity for improved training programs to facilitate effective teaching practices in schools.

This initiative aims not only to uplift the performance of educators but also to ultimately benefit every child in Edo, providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

Through targeted training and development, the Edo government is committed to fostering an environment where teachers can thrive, leading to better educational outcomes and a brighter future for the youth of the state.
