EPL: Almost Like A Dying Dog – Foster Names Two Stars That Shouldn’t Play For Man United Again

Ex-Manchester United goalkeeper, Ben Foster, has advised manager, Erik ten Hag to take Harry Maguire and Cristiano Ronaldo out of the team.

Having come under fire for his lacklustre performances in Red Devils’ shirt, Maguire was kept on the bench in Manchester United’s 2-1 victory over Liverpool on Monday night.

Cristiano Ronaldo was also left out of the starting XI for the game following the 4-0 hammering at Brentford.

Manchester United then played one of the best game in recent months against Liverpool

“At that point, you’ve just got to pull them out of the firing line,” Foster said on talkSPORT

“It’s just one thing after another. The best thing to do… it’s almost like a dying dog, just put them out of their misery.

“Take him out of the team, take him out of the spotlight, even if it’s just for four or five games.

“It could be a month or six weeks, but just take him out the firing line.”
