Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand has warned Arsenal fans to resist going ‘overboard’ about their new striker, Gabriel Jesus.
Rio Ferdinand reminded them that the likes of Erling Haaland are still better than the Brazilian.
The former England international said that Arsenal fans have a tendency of overhyping players.
Former Manchester City forward, Jesus has made a brilliant start to his Arsenal career since joining in a £45million deal from the Etihad earlier in the summer.
Jesus has netted twice in the Gunners’ 100% start to the Premier League season.
Ferdinand pointed out that the Gunners supporters do have a tendency of ‘going overboard’ and the former United defender warned them not to do the same with Jesus after his ‘unreal’ start at the club.
“I think that Jesus’s impact has been unreal,” Ferdinand said on FIVE.
“I think that he has been a fantastic signing, an absolute major signing for Arsenal, but please don’t go overboard like all Arsenal fans do.
“When you have got [Erling] Haaland banging in a hat-trick at the weekend and you are going, ‘Oh, Jesus is overshadowing him still’, what are you talking about?
