Juventus forward, Federico Chiesa, is set for a shock move to Chelsea.
According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are willing to make a ‘monster’ £84million bid to sign the 24-year-old at the end of the season.
The report added that Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, is an admirer of Chiesa and could get backed by the club’s chief Marina Granovskaia as they attempt to lure the forward to Stamford Bridge.
Chiesa caught the eye of top European clubs over the summer after putting in some exceptional displays for Italy, which saw him make the Team of The Tournament as they went on to win Euro 2020 after beating England in the final.
Chelsea will have to battle the likes of Bayern Munich for his signature.
Chiesa is currently on loan at Juventus from Fiorentina.
But Juventus have an agreement to sign the Italy international on a permanent basis at the end of the season.
Chiesa, meanwhile, scored the only goal of the game when Chelsea lost 1-0 to Juventus in the Champions League back in September.
But he was unable to replicate a similar display as Chelsea thrashed the Serie A giants 4-0 in the reverse fixture on Tuesday night.
