Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel, has confirmed that Ben Chilwell will miss his side’s Premier League clash against Liverpool on Sunday after undergoing surgery.
Tuchel also provided the latest update on Reece James ahead of the Liverpool clash.
Chelsea head to the game following a 1-1 draw with Brighton on Wednesday.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Tuchel said, “Chilly, of course, has had his surgery and has our best wishes and all our energy to come back as soon as possible, but it seems like the season is over for him.
He added, “with Reecey, still, it is a hamstring injury, a muscle injury. Like always with muscle injuries, the examination is a bit later because the images are better if you wait a bit.
“Those images will be later today I guess and then we will know more about it.”
The kick-off time for the game is 5.30 pm.
