Former Chelsea striker, Chris Sutton, has slammed Bruno Fernandes for ‘shouting’ at the Manchester United fans following the Red Devils’ Premier League 4-1 defeat to Watford last weekend under former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Fernandes, who is yet to impress for Man United so far this season, reacted angrily at Vicarage Road on Saturday as some Man United fans booed Solskjaer as he was approaching the away end to applaud the supporters.

The Portugal international implored the fans to instead vent their frustration at the players.

Solskjaer was eventually sacked, but Sutton believes Man United players also deserve criticism and has hit out at Fernandes, insisting that the midfielder should do his talking on the pitch because he has not scored a goal for the club since early September.

“Bruno Fernandes had no problem shouting at Manchester United’s travelling supporters at the end of the game at Vicarage Road,” Sutton told the Daily Mail.

“Maybe do your talking on the pitch instead!

“You haven’t scored since September 11 or even managed a Premier League shot on target since West Ham on September 19. It’s a fresh start, so rediscover your form
