Ex-minister Speaks On Leaving APC After Losing Governorship Ticket, Tells Supporters Presidential Candidate To Vote For
Chief Uche Ogah, the immediate past Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, has denied reports that he left the All Progressives Congress for the Peoples Democratic Party.
He denied that he left the APC after failing to secure the party’s governorship ticket in Abia State.
Ogah made the clarification on Sunday in Umuahia, the capital of Abia State, and urged his supporters to vote for APC presidential candidate Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in the state.
He stated that he was the first person to congratulate the APC governorship candidate in the state, Chief Ikechi Emenike, after the Supreme Court declared him the winner of the APC governorship ticket legal battle.
Ogah said, “We have the largest political structure in Abia State. No governorship candidate can win election in Abia without our structure.
“However, neither Emenike nor any other person vying for office of governor has approached us for support, but I urge our members to vote for the APC presidential candidate and members of our Abia rejoice structure vying for the national and state assembly seats.
“This time around, your vote will count, so vote for our people because we have the capacity to deliver Abia from its present state of quagmire,” he said
