Ex-Senate President, Ameh Ebute Reacts To Shonekan’s Death

Former Senate President, Ameh Ebute, has mourned the late Chief Ernest Shonekan, ex-Head of the National Interim Government.

Ebute described Shonekan’s death as an irreparable loss to the entire nation.

In a condolence message he signed, the former Senate President said the deceased was a “man of enviable integrity, with love for Nigeria and all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnicity.”

He prayed to the Almighty God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the great loss.

Senator Ebute was Nigeria’s Senate President under Shonekan’s administration.

Shonekan died on Tuesday at 85.
