The Honourable Commissioner of Education, Dr. Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu, has solidified plans with Mrs. Blessing Ogwu, the National Project Coordinator of the Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS).
This collaboration aims to enhance the capacity of Edo’s technical colleges, equipping them with essential tools and resources to bolster skill acquisition among the local population.
During the meeting at the Headquarters in Abuja,Dr. Iyamu emphasized the commitment of the Monday Okpebholo administration to empower Edo indigenes with the skills necessary to become successful entrepreneurs and employers of labor especially with the challenging environment where the need for capacity building cannot be over emphasized. He highlighted the pivotal role that technical education plays in fostering economic growth and job creation in the society.
Mrs. Ogwu, the National Coordinator of the IDEAS project, echoed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration focus on skills development as a vital vehicle for progress and assured her commitment to support the drive of the Edo State Government to achieve her desired skill acquisition goal.
