The autopsy report on the cause of death of a 26-year-old teacher, Miss Faith Aigbe, has been released.
The Edo state police public relations officer, SP Bello Kontongs, released the autopsy report to journalists on Wednesday, 22 September 2021, in Benin city, Edo state.
SP kontongs, while reading the autopsy report to journalists, said Miss Faith Aigbe was pregnant.
SP kontongs stated that the report revealed that Faith died from Hemorrhagic shock, ruptured tubal ectopic gestation, And massive Hemoperitoneum.
The report did not link Friday Ogieriakhi, the upcoming Enogie of Uroho in the Ikpoba local area of Edo state, to the death of his mistress as speculated in some quarters.
Consequently, SP Bello Kontongs disclosed that Ogieriakhi would be granted bail by the police on Friday as there is no evidence to charge him.
According to the Edo state police public relations officer, “After painstaking investigation, the autopsy report carried out by the Edo state police command under the supervision of the police consultant Pathologist, Dr Wilson Akhiwu on 20 September 2021, the result proved that the Enogie in waiting, Friday Ogieriakhi is innocent of the accusation.
“The report says the late Faith Aigbe was pregnant, but the baby was growing outside the uterus which was then ruptured”.
The situation led to a tube burst, which forced blood to flow within the abdominal cavity, resulting in shock, causing death.
On 9 September 2021, Standard Gazette reported how Miss Faith Aigbe was found dead in the premises of the Edo state specialist hospital, Benin city, inside the Lexus 350 Jeep of Friday Ogieriakhi.
The development forced the family of late Faith Aigbe to accuse Friday Ogieriakhi of murder.
He was subsequently detained after he reported himself at Ologbo Police Division in Edo state.
It is expected that the tension generated from the death of the 26-year-old Faith Aigbe will now be laid to arrest.
