FG Has Broken Silence On NIN Linkage Deadline.
Afemai Reporters reports that President Muhammadu Buhari led Federal Government of Nigeria through the Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy has debunked 18th January NIMC Registration and NIN-SIM Linkage deadline being circulated in some quarters.
“The deadline for those without NIN is not today, but 9th of February as announced by the NCC’, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami said while debunking the tweet as “fake”.
This online news medium understands that unofficial Twitter handle on Tuesday evening tweeted, “By order of the federal government , today is given as the last chance to register your NIMC or face the wrath of what comes next.”
Reacting to the tweet which had gone viral, Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Isa Pantami described the Twitter handled as “Fake” and not from the Ministry.
“This is not the official handle of the Nationa Identity Management commission (NIMC). The official handle is @nimc_ng. Beware of fraudsters, pls. Furthermore, the deadline for those without NIN is not today, but 9th of February as announced by the NCC. The process continues pls”
