Group Cautions CAN On Muslim-Muslim Ticket

A Christian group under the aegis of Christ Shiloh Ambassadors of Nigeria (CSAN) has cautioned some members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) against criticisms on the Muslim-Muslim ticket adopted by the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of 2023 presidential election for its candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

It called for support of Christians and Muslims, stressing that the joint ticket would harmonise the country rather than divide it as erroneously believed by some Christians.

In a joint statement by the group’s President, Pastor Ade Odusola and General Secretary, Pastor Felix Rawa, the clerics said the controversy on issue of Muslims Muslim ticket had political undertone.

Rawa is the founder of Christ Shiloh Zion International, while Odusola is the founder of Alpha Light Bible Ministry International.

The group implored Christians to support Muslim/Muslim ticket of Tinubu and Shettima, stressing that democracy was a game of numbers and to win, everything must be put in place.

The clerics and their members said not all Christians are members of CAN and not all members of CAN are in support of what its leadership are doing.

CSAN said religion should bind the country together rather than creating acrimony among the citizenry.

It said the joint ticket would be fruitful after the 2023 general election
