Unknown gunmen on Friday night attacked players and officials of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Adamawa United on Benin-Ore Expressway.
They were said to be on their way to Lagos for an NPFL match clash against MFM FC
The Nation gathered that the incident happened about 11.45pm.
It was also gathered that the whereabouts of the team’s driver remains unknown after he was taken away by the gunmen.
