The Director-General of the Edo State Electrification Agency (EDSEA), Hon. Saturday O. Egbadon, has held a strategic meeting with Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to the Governor from Ward 2 and Ward 3 in Esan Central Local Government Area.
The meeting, held on 18 September 2026, focused on strengthening grassroots engagement, improving coordination among government appointees, and developing effective strategies for reaching constituents ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Egbadon charged the appointees to remain active at the grassroots, strengthen communication with their respective communities, and mobilise support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo.
He also urged them to work collectively toward supporting Governor Monday Okpebholo in securing 2.5m votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and othe APC Candidates.
The Director-General emphasised the importance of unity, effective grassroots mobilisation and continuous engagement with the people, noting that the SSAs and SAs have important roles to play in communicating government programmes and policies to their respective wards.
Discussions at the meeting also centred on identifying key grassroots concerns, improving coordination among political and government representatives, and establishing a more effective framework for constituency engagement and mobilisation.
Egbadon therefore called on the appointees to maintain regular contact with their constituents and ensure that grassroots structures remain coordinated and responsive as preparations for the elections continue.
