In an interview with Afemaireporters, the Rector said, COVID-19 created disaster in some schools and students already spent complete 1 year and half at home, and that, the institution going on strike again will make some schools collapse totally.

He said: I am a member of the ASUP association but I never saw myself as a Rector while in a meeting with them, I pleaded with my ASUP members not to truncate my students exams and they listened and I believe that is the yearning of every Rector who mean well for her students. Seeing the students of your school having a free flow education speaks volume of the institution. Education without strike will always make our students do well in academics. It doesn’t affect the students alone when there is strike but the school calendar will equally equally be affected and many lecturers will not be able to meet up with their syllabus. Everyone prefer hitch-free semester, he added.
