I Went Through Same Thing In Nigeria – Transgender, Miss Sahhara Reacts To Imprisonment Of Two Cameroonian Crossdressers

Popular Nigerian trans-woman, Miss Sahhara has reacted to the imprisonment of two Cameroonian cross dressers.

 

LIB reported earlier that Shakiro, a popular social media figure, and Patricia were convicted of “attempting homosexuality” and sentenced to five years in prison. read here

 

The sentencing came after they were arrested at a restaurant in Douala, Cameroon’s largest city, over the way they dressed.

Miss Sahhara who condemned this via an Instagram post, alleged that she was subjected to same treatment in Nigeria. She also called on the LGBT community to fight the sentencing.

 

She wrote;

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! WE ARE IN 2021 NOT 1921!
Two transgender women in Cameroon have been sentenced to five years in jail for contravening ‘homosexuality laws’. BASICALLY THEY ARE JAILED FOR EXISTING!!!!

We must not keep quiet! 5yrs jail for being LGBT+. We must fight back!!!
