APC candidate in the 2020 governorship elections, Pastor Ize-Iyamu today revalidated his membership of the party at his voting unit in Iguododo, Orhionmwon local government area of the state.
Speaking after the exercise, Ize-Iyamu said the exercise is a civic duty expected of all genuine and committed party members who want to see the APC grow stronger and more united.
“For me this is a national assignment that we are being called to do. Look at the last elections in America for example, you see the vital roles the members of the two major parties namely the Democratic party and the Republican party played in choosing the Presidential flagbearer and finally electing the country’s President.
“That is how democracy works. The people hold the aces, because they own the parties and call the shots and in the final analysis, determine who leads the parties and who gets elected into public offices.
He said, “The APC in Nigeria is on the right path with the registration and revalidation exercise”, and called on all and sundry to rally round and join the ruling party in the country.
