JUST IN: Edo APC Chieftain, Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe Announces Death Of His Father

Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and Edo State Chieftain of the All progressives Congress (APC), has announced the passing of his beloved father, High Chief Adewole Umakhihe.

The elder Umakhihe departed on March 2, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of service and leadership in his community.

In a heartfelt statement released by Dr. Umakhihe, he described his father as a retired military personnel, a politician, and a prominent leader within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 8 of Otuo, located in Owan East Local Government Area of Edo State.

High Chief Adewole was also recognized as a successful farmer and an esteemed member of the Otuo Traditional Council of Chiefs and Elders.

Dr. Umakhihe expressed gratitude for his father’s contributions to fostering unity and development in the Otuo community, emphasizing his dedication to embracing diversity and working towards the progress of the region.

Funeral arrangements will be announced in due course, as the Umakhihe family mourns the loss of a remarkable patriarch.
