JUST IN: Ex-Edo Speaker Joins Governorship Race

Former speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly, Thomas Okosun has signified his intention to contest the next governorship election in the state on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Okosun made his intention public on Thursday, November 30, when he paid an official visit to members of the State Executive Committee of the APC at the party’s Airport Road secretariat in Benin City.

According to a statement by his campaign team, Okosun addressed party leaders and others present, during which he expressed his determination to rescue Edo from the hands of the ruling party and steer the state towards meaningful development.
