Kaduna Wonderkid Gets Signed To Arsenal FC

Munir Sada Muhammed, 9 year old wonderkid from Kaduna has been signed to the Arsenal football club of England and will play in the team’s youth academy.

Muhammed was handed the number 9 jersey for the Gunners team after spending weeks on trial being closely watched by the club’s manager and former defender, Per Mertesacker in the Emirates academy.

The youngster becomes the latest African to join the club as he aims to continue his development in the team.

Muhammed from the Zaria local government in Kaduna signed the deal for the North London club in the presence of his mother and grandmother, who were by his side sporting proud smiles.

His family showed support for the young lad as they were with him during the entire period of his training.

A statement from Abdallah Yunus Abdallah, the Information officer at the department of Public affairs, Kaduna government house read “Arsenal FC have signed a 9 year old Munir Muhammed Sada an indigene of Zaria LG of Kaduna state expected to be playing for the youth soccer team of Arsenal FC.”

Muhammed will play the striking and forward positions for the Gunners.

The wonder kid has made it known that his role model is Lionel Messi and wants to be just as good and recognized in the world of football.

The football club had not made it clear the terms of his deal as of the time of this report.

Muhammed joins a number of child players the football club has signed from the country in recent years.

Arsenal had signed Jayden Adetiba also 9 in 2018 after he followed a similar process Muhammed had gone through.

The football club also signed Kelechi Nwakali in 2016, the player of the tournament for the 2015 U-17 world cup. He was also being scouted by Manchester City and Bayern Munich at the time of his signing.
