The two kidnapped Catholic priests, Reverend Fathers Raphael Ogigba and Chochos Kunav, have regained their freedom from their abductors 5 days after they were kidnapped by gunmen at Agbarha-Otor town, in the Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the Catholic priests were kidnapped on Saturday in front of Michael and Cecilia Ibru University, Agbarha-Otor near Ughelli.
Ogigbah, the parish priest of St. Francis Catholic Parish Agbarha-Otor, Catholic Diocese of Warri while Chochos, a missionary priest of the Schoenstartt Fathers, in Ibadan, Oyo State, was in Delta to visit his friend, Ogigbah.
The priests reportedly regained their freedom from the abductors on Thursday and have since reunited with the leadership of the Catholic Diocese of Warri.

A priest in the diocese, who confirmed the development to journalists, did not disclose whether ransom was paid to secure their release.
It was however gathered that the abductors had earlier demanded N20m for their release.
The State Police spokesperson, DSP Bright Edafe, when contacted said that the command took security measures to ensure that the abducted priests regain their freedom, PUNCH reports
