One John Agbo was on Wednesday remanded for allegedly defiling a six-year-old girl in Lagos state.
An Ikeja magistrates’ court gave the order to remand the 34-year-old man at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre.
The Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, who did not take Agbo’s plea, directed the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) for advice and adjourned the case to May 30.
Earlier, prosecutor, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that Agbo, who resided in Orile-Iganmu, committed the offence in 2022 on Ogunsanya Street, Orile-Iganmu, noting that the offence contravened Section 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
