Some children of Samuel Ogbomwan who was the late founder of the Christ Apostolic Church of God Mission, CACGM, are bemoaning their exclusion from the administration and management of the affairs of the church.
Although it is not a family business, sources say the founder deliberately left out his children or heirs who are members of the Church from any decision making role from inception.
However, one Revd Emmanuel Nosa Ogbomwan, who is a district pastor and the eldest son has been invited to attend meetings of the Board of trustees, even when in actual fact he is not a member overtime.
Some of the children also complained about the neglect of the family by the leadership of the church to the extent that when the late founder’s wife, late Mrs. Grace Ogbonmwan (nee Obasuyi) was alive, she was neglected and left uncatered for.
“Even when she fell ill, the church reneged on taking up her medical bills, a situation which left the family with an embarrassingly huge unpaid debt in the Hospital where she was admitted before she died”.
Church sources however denied abandoning or neglecting the late founder’s family. They said steps were recently taken to offset the outstanding medical bills incurred for their late founder’s wife stay at the hospital before her transition.
