CAREER

Akhigbe started her broadcasting career during her National Youth Service Corp one-year scheme in Anambra State.

She served as a news reporter at the National Television Authority, NTA Awka in 2005. She then worked as a News Anchor and correspondent at Hot FM from May 2006 to February 2008.

Her passion for media brought her to Channels Television in 2008. The passionate presenter and reporter covered the Diplomacy, Energy, and Labour beats in Channels Television due to her versatility.

On March 17, 2008, she started as a presenter and reporter for Channels Television. Akhigbe became the Assistant Senior Reporter/presenter 1 on January 1, 2010.

On January 1, 2012, her role changed to Assistant Senior Reporter/presenter 2.

On March 1, 2014, she became a Senior Presenter/Reporter 3 while on February 1, 2018, she became a Senior Reporter/Presenter.

Currently, she is the Senior correspondent and news anchor and produces and presents “The Gavel” at Channels Television.
