Makinde Dissolves Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic Governing Council

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has dissolved the governing council of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.

The Polytechnic, situated in Eruwa town in Ibarapa East local government area is one of the Tertiary Institutions owned by the Oyo State government.

DAILY POST learnt that the Polytechnic which was earlier established as a satellite campus of the Polytechnic Ibadan was named after Adeseun Ogundoyin, the father of the current speaker of the State Assembly.

Makinde has, however, ordered the dissolution of the governing council of the institutions. The dissolution which was announced on Friday, was contained in a memo dated 4 August 2022.

The memo was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Olubamiwo Adeosun and addressed to the Chairman of the Governing Council and other stakeholders among whom are the Commissioner for Education and the Acting Rector of the institution.

The memo directed the affected board members to hand over all government property in their possession to the acting Rector.

“I wish to convey the approval of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde on the immediate dissolution of the Governing Council of Adeseun Ogundoyin Polytechnic, Eruwa.

“Consequent upon the above development, you are hereby directed to hand over all government items in your possession to the Acting Rector of the institution”.
