Favour Michael Kanu, wife of Emmanuel Kanu, brother of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has said the advice by the outlawed group to the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor William Kumuyi, to cancel his planned crusade in Aba, Abia State, is “solely for security reasons”.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that Kumuyi obliged and cancelled the crusade.

The crusade was scheduled to hold in Aba, Abia State, from May 24 to May 29, 2022 but the proscribed IPOB told the 80-year-old cleric not to go ahead with the crusade.

The IPOB’s message to Deeper Life to cancel the crusade has drawn furious reactions from a section of the public, while many proponents of IPOB applauded it.

“Dear Christians, don’t be salty. IPOB stood against the crusade, they weren’t being “anti-christ” It was solely for security reasons!” Favour said via a Facebook post.
