#OccupyLekkiTollgate: Presidency Finally Reacts To Arrest Of Mr Macaroni, Others

The Presidency has applauded the Nigerian Police Force for allegedly protecting protesters at the Lekki Tollgate on Saturday.

Buhari’s aide Lauretta Onochie in a tweet stated that nobody was hurt.

Recall that, popular comedian, Mr Macaroni and at least 39 protesters were arrested by police at the Tollgate.

They were stripped naked, beaten and dehumanized beyond recognition.

After some hours, the police said they were arrested for inciting violence and flouting covid-19 rules.

Onochie thanked the Nigerian police for the professional manner it operated yesterday.

She stated that best of all, no police officer was killed or roasted during the protest.

She wrote on Twitter:

“Kudos to the @PoliceNG for the professional manner it operated at Lekki yesterday. NOBODY WAS HURT

Best of all, no Police officer was killed nor roasted and eaten. We must applaud you for doing well so that you can take our criticisms of your shortcomings in good faith.
THANK YOU”.
