At least one person has Reportedly been killed during the students’ Union Election held at Rufus Giwa polytechnic, Owo in Ondo state on Wednesday, Nigerian cable news online has Reliably gathered.
A student of the polytechnic confirmed that a student was shot early hours of today.
According to the source, the death of the student may not be unconnected with the students election.
It was also gathered that the hoodlums who are suspected cultists have been on killing spree in the last few days.
The polytechnic management is yet to issue any statement on the development as the school remain open.
The source further confirmed that the student killed on Wednesday was shot off the school campus.
