Today, the 30th of October, 2022, makes it exactly one year when the Matriarch of the Abu Ekpega dynasty in Anegette Town of Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State, Madam Agnes Ikhareru, ,(Nee Omamilor) left this World to meet her Creator.
It was a life so beautifully lived in Christ to be beautifully remembered. Her life was an example of a Virtuous Woman who would be greatly remembered for her contributions to the body of Christ.
The Memories of the Late Matriarch live on one year after her passage. The Final burial ceremony of the Septuagenarian, indeed, showcased the success story of a woman selfless woman who brought peace, unity and progress to the renowned Abu Ekpega dynasty.
She was a Peace Loving Woman and a Beacon of hope to those who came around her and her contributions to humanity were highly acclaimed.
There is no doubt about the fact that the final burial ceremony was remarkable in the memories of the people of the community who came out enmasse in honour of the deceased whose positive footprints in the community of Anegette would stand the test of time.
Expectedly, the Final burial Ceremony was an opportunity for reunion by Family members, Friends, Well Wishers and Schoolmates of the Children of the Deceased who had long seen for a very long time.
Guests at the ceremony that took place at the popular Ugbodaga Primary School, Anegette were treated to a lavish reception with a reknowned Music Legend, Mayor Constance Bolivia Osigbemhe trilling the Visitors with melodious numbers that touched the Soul.
Late Mrs Agnes Ikhareru Abu Ekpega was a woman of inestimable value and a God-fearing Christian whose death till date has created a huge vacuum in the community and whose role in uniting and strengthening the family would be greatly missed.
Extolling the rare qualities of his mother,. the Son of the Deceased and President, Etsako Progressive Union (England and Wales Chapters ), Mr. Alika Abu Ekpega in his tribute, described his mother as an exceptional woman, a great mother, a role model and a true symbol of a woman who contributed her quota selflessness to the growth of the family and humanity..
According to Alika, the Deceased was an hardworking woman, a Disciplinarian, a God-fearing Woman, an Exemplar and a resourceful woman whose valuable services would be greatly missed.
As the name implies, Agnes Nee Omamilor grew up to become one the happiest persons ever lived.
Her World rolled along like a song. The deceased was an effective Home teacher, a dutiful and compassionate Woman and a pragmatic Christian who would be remembered for her legacies and contributions to mankind.
Happiness, peace and love were indeed her Fellow travelling companions.She was a woman who had respect for all irrespective of your tribe, Religion age and Status.
Fondly called Mama General due to her Simplicity and Kindness to those around her. She was a pillar and Asset to the family. Until her passage, she was a successful House Wife and a Petty trader who used the proceeds of her business together with her husband to train the Children.
Above all, She fought a good fight of faith, finished the race well and kept to her Faith doctrines till death irrespective of the Challenges. Her lasting memories will never Fade away. Adeui, Mama General.
Late Madam Agnes Ikhareru Abu Ekpega is survived by five Children amongst whom are Mr. Victor Abu Ekpega, Mr. Alika Abu Ekpega, Fulani Abu Ekpega, Dada Abu Ekpega and Mr. Daddy (Okpolor) Abu Ekpega, Brothers , Uncles, Aunties and other Relations.
Late Matriarch Agnes Ikhareru Abu Ekpega died on 30th October, 2021 at the age of 75 years.
