Pastor Sam Aiyedogbon, the head of Catalyst for Global Peace and Justice (CPJ), has criticized the APC and Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing a Muslim as the party’s vice presidential candidate.

Senator Kashim Shettima, the vice presidential candidate for the APC, was introduced during a parade of phony bishops, which Aiyedogbon criticized as a gross display of insensitivity.

He said so during a news conference he addressed on Friday in Lagos on the current trends and worries surrounding the 2023 presidential election.

Aiyedogbon expressed grave concern about the same faith ticket and vehemently criticized it for being “a direct affront to the collective sensibility of every Nigerian to the extent of sacrilege through the discretion of sacredness of divinely established priesthood.”

Thus, he urged Nigerians “to oppose and denounce such activities. Any party or candidate that can pass for the renowned leaders of a high religion gives themselves out not only as being a fraud but also as a gang of ruthless criminals.

Asked about the OBI-dient movement by media, Aiyedogbon responded that it “is a third force that would challenge the dominance of the ruling party APC and PDP. gives the electorate a choice in the election of 2023.

“This is a good development, in my opinion. People cried out for what they called the third force during previous elections. There was a plan to combine all of these elements to create a third force that Nigerians could choose from and challenge the major opposition’s and the ruling party’s hegemony.

“It can be a result of Nigerians’ frustration and the suffering of the younger generations. This cannot be separated from the anti-SARS demonstration and some organizations’ revolution. I believe that all of these factors acting in concert created the third force, the OBI-dient movement to offer an alternative.

“I am hoping that the Obi-dient folks will be wise enough to avoid using the fire brigade strategy. It is impossible to put something together quickly in a few months with this approach.

The preacher said that as a movement, we must be prepared for the arduous work and responsibility that lie ahead. The OBI-dient team must be prepared to deliver the massage to every corner of the nation. In Nigeria, conquering one region of the country will not give you the president.

He said: “He would not succeed until he wins across the states. If the entire southern section voted for him like they did for President Muhammad Buhari in the north.

“It goes beyond supporting certain leaders. You need video. Candidates are required, which translates to structure. I’m pleased that the movement is ending a curse and offering an excellent alternative.

Additionally, he declared that despite the threat to his life, he would continue to lead the struggle for a better Nigeria for the next 40 years.
