Senior pastor of Fulfilling World Foundation Church, Pastor Essa Oggory is dead, Topnaija reports.
He reportedly died in the early hours of Tuesday, February 16 after battling a prolonged illness.
Pastor Oggory went viral last week after he cancelled a wedding in Port Harcourt because the intending couple came to church late.
According to reports, his wife died on the 16th of February 2020.
He died exactly same day, a year after his wife’s death.
He is survived by his only son who is still in secondary school.
“Let’s remember that he was sick and had to come to church for the wedding and after waiting for so long he decided to go to his office because he was getting weak and wanted to do the wedding in his office”, a media aide told newsmen.
There was chaos as church members and wedding guests engaged in a verbal fight when the pastor refused to wed a couple right away because they arrived 5 minutes late.
Eventually, the couple got another person to serve as their officiating pastor for the wedding that held in a hotel.
