The embattled Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, is currently holding a closed-door meeting with the former President Olusegun Obasanjo at his Abeokuta residence.
Secondus who arrived at the Obasanjo’s Penthouse residence at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL), Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, alongside his entourage immediately went into the meeting with the former President.
It was gathered that the visit might not be unconnected with the leadership crisis within the ranks of PDP.
While Secondus is battling to keep his seat, the Governor of Rivers Nyesom Wike has reportedly championed the cause to change the leadership of the party ahead of 2023 General elections.
Wike was, few days ago, quotes to have said the current leadership of the PDP can not lead the Party to victory in 2023.
