It is no surprise the disquisitions coming from the fast eroding camp of Philip Shaibu. This emerged from the tit-for-tat approach the strong-willed Edo State A.P.C Deputy Chairman has promised to adopt for any of subsequent Philip Shaibu’s malfeasance, as manifested in his recent Okpekpe outing. Philip had engaged in superfluous denigration of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole; his benefactor.
He has perpetually displayed a lack of character, indecency and uncouth behaviour. Anyone who cannot adequately trace his ancestry is lost in creation and would wander uncontrollably till the end of his sojourn on earth. Such is the fate of Philip Shaibu. While we may wish to ignore Philip’s ignominy for now, as his public reputation is abysmally on the low, we cannot however leave unanswered the latest unwarranted outburst by one Benjamin Atu, which we understand he reluctantly did after being prodded by his pay masters and threatened with the seizure of his means of livelihood.
One wonders why the attempt to taint the characters of people simply because they cannot be coereced to join an ignoble fight. They derisively look at people who sweated to put them in positions they now assume gods. We know of a certain Senator who desperately seeks another term at the Senate, after a very unimpressive two terms.
The Senator who has been nicknamed an “Obioma Senator”, thanks to the youthful and energetic Sunny Ekpeson, is a retired Army officer who was dull in military traditions and practices but had a proclivity to siphoning funds in the finance department where he functioned. He was caught, tried and demoted in rank for culpability by the military. This is one of the reasons why he was retired as an unsung middle level military officer.
Let us now talk about Benjamin Atu who in his worthless missive attempted to dress Senator Alimikhena in borrowed and outrightly oversize robes. Unfortunately he ended up discrediting him. He has become drenched and no one to clean him up.Can Senator Alimikhena whose empowerment programs have been nothing but giving out sewing machines be said to be of good to the generality of Edo North people?
The sewing machines with which the Senator attempted to make Edo North youths street tailors and remaining impoverished have long gone bad. These youths are hungry and yearn for better empowerment that is long lasting and stable. Is any of the Senator’s children an “Obioma”?

It is sad that Alimikhena’s foot soldiers do not see the benefactor role of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole in the life of their principal. A man who twice unsuccessfully sought to go to the Senate under the P.D.P but was rescued from the mess, packaged and delivered twice under the A.P.C to the Senate, shows no thanks. Though they know the truth, but in their characteristic manner of sadity,they choose to ignore the facts.
The coming elections will decisively put to rest the question of who owns the land.
Judging by Benjamin Atu’s write-up against Jarret and Comrade Oshiomhole two Afemai giant figures who Alimikhena cannot measure up to, it is deductable that his handlers do not even know the strategic position and role of the Minister of National Planning and Budget. The Minister in his official capacity oversees the entire national budget and can influence so much in it for his people. This is glaring in the number of projects Honourable Minister Clem Agba has influenced to Edo North in particular and the State in general.
We are aware that HM, Clem Agba has been able to influence about 10 Billion Naira in the 2023 budget for repairs of the deplorable Auchi-Ekpoma-Benin road. This is to alleviate the sufferings of the people in a road where several lives have been lost and our sitting Senator could not raise a voice at the Senate. We have information that nocturnal meetings are already being held to dissever the 10 Billion Naira in the budget into meaningless training programs that will enable them line their pockets at the expense of the ordinary people.
Especially as defeat at the forthcoming elections looms on their faces, that is, should they be cleared to contest by INEC and the courts. This is where Tenebe’s complaints and agitations are based. He has vowed to keep his eyes on the ball to ensure that the appropriated sum in the budget is not balkanized and must be judiciously used on the road for the benefit of the people. What wrong has he committed for attack dogs to be sent on him? We must align with anyone who is interested in public good. Neither Philip Shaibu non Alimikhena is.
We identify with and are ready for any contribution for Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to be at the Senate. He has showed capacity and competence. His history is lucid and eloquent of it. Comrade Oshiomhole being at the Senate will change the narrative for Edo North people. We shall have a voice, a known voice, a loud voice and a respected voice. Whatever Philip Shaibu/Alimikhena’s people do cannot take our eyes away from the ball. However, whatever comes from them they should know we are ready to meet force with any force. We do know, anyway, that the ramblings from the camp is the last laugh of a drowning horse, which is about to die but sheepishly laughs at its shadow in clear water, not knowing that it is encycled and its dead body shall soon lay beneath the water.We identify with and are ready for any contribution for Comrade Adams Oshiomhole to be at the Senate.
