Collins Odhiambo (not his real name) was caught red-handed chewing elder’s wife.
It was revealed by the woman’s husband that he had suspected the couple since the pastor called her every Sunday morning before the rest of the congregation arrived at church and asked her to say evening prayers.
It has been customary for the pastor, whose wife is prohibited from being present with him at conference meetings, to perform this act every Sunday as the elders’ wife might storm the church every morning pretending to be responsible for general cleanliness in the church.
The man added that he met the pastors yesterday and that they told her wife to make sure she gets to the church on Sunday morning so that they would have enough time to worship together. He claimed that he never inquired about it with his wife and that he, therefore, decided to set a trap for the couple.
He went on to say that his wife had left the house very early this morning and that he had decided to follow her without her realizing that anything was wrong. Upon opening the door, which was not closed at the time, the elder saw the two in bed, a discovery that stunned the couple, who begged the pastor for pity and forgiveness.
