Pro Asue Ighodalo Group Restores Electricity To Aviele Community [VIDEO]

In a heartfelt demonstration of solidarity, the non-partisan organization, Afenmai Coalition For ASUE IGHODALO, has extended a helping hand to the Aviele community in the Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State with a generous donation of one million naira (1,000,000) to fix the faulty 2.5 MVA 33/11 kV transformer.

This donation aims to restore electricity power supply to the community.

This was a direct response to the community’s plight of enduring an arduous eight-month blackout which finally received the attention it deserves.

The poignant ceremony took place at the palace of the Enoghie of Ughiole, with representatives from Ubiane community in attendance, symbolizing a collective effort to alleviate the community’s hardship.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Alh Prince MKO Chalaman Momoh conveyed heartfelt sympathies for the enduring struggle faced by the community. He reassured them that their distress had not gone unnoticed, emphasizing the unwavering commitment of Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the upcoming Edo 2024 Gubernatorial election, to uplift communities across Afenmai land.

The gesture, Prince Chalaman emphasized, reflects Dr. Asue Ighodalo’s compassionate spirit, coupled with a deep-rooted sense of responsibility towards governance and community welfare.

Graciously receiving the donation, the traditional head of Ughiole, Chief Aliu Muhammed, Daudu 1 of Ughiole extended heartfelt gratitude to the Afenmai Coalition For Asue Ighodalo for their timely intervention. The Aviele community, comprising Ughiole and Ubiane, joined in the appreciation, acknowledging the collective efforts of its members and the benevolent citizens who rallied to restore power to Aviele.

Special recognition was extended to Hon Abdul Malik Kifinu, Chairman BEDC Committee (liason with Benin Electricity Distribution Company on behalf of the communities), for going above and beyond to spearhead the project’s implementation.

Following the ceremony, the group conducted an on-site visit to the transformer installation site, securing commitments from the contractor, Engr Suleman Yusuf Shehu for prompt delivery, ensuring the community’s swift return to normalcy.

The event was attended by notable figures including the organization’s secretary, Abdul Qadr Yusuf, Chairman of ANNEWATT, Edo North, Mallam Shaibu Elamah, Mr. Alloysious Eleta, and Prince Muhammed Titi Momoh, underscoring the collective resolve to champion positive change within Aviele community.
