In an unusual manner, the masquerade of Iguobazuwa community in Ovia south west local government area of Edo state celebrates and danced in honor of Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa on his emergence as the Deputy Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), ahead of the September governorship election.
According to the spokesperson of the Ekpo masquerade, Idahosa is a son of the soil who have made the community proud even as a serving member of the federal House of Representatives, representing Ovia federal constituency.
He said Idahosa has demonstrated tenacity of purpose, not just by providing quality representation but more importantly, in the areas of infrastructure and rural development, as well as engendering peaceful coexistence among residents.
He further said, Iguobazuwa community will unite behind him on his current aspirations of becoming the next deputy governor of Edo state, noting that it’s a thing of joy that a proud son of the community and Ovia by extension is going to be the next Number 2 man in the state.
Elated Idahosa, while thanking the masquerade group for the honour, reiterated his commitment to making sure good governance gets to every door step.
He further encourage youths to form themselves into pressure groups to eradicate and checkmate unscrupulous elements in our society.

Emma Ogbomo, Member representing Ovia South west in the Edo state house of assembly, Rt. Hon. Sunday Aghedo, Hon. Valentine Asuen, Hon. Gabriel Iduseri amongst others.
