Senate President Lawan Reacts To Plane Crash In Abuja Airport

The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, has expressed his shock and sadness over the tragic news of the crash of a Nigerian military aircraft in Abuja.

Recall that AfemaiReporters had reported that military aircraft, King Air 350 crashed on Sunday morning on the runway of Abuja airport.

Confirming the incident, Air Force Director of Public Relations and Information, Air Vice Marshall Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed that an investigation has been ordered to determine cause of plane crash.

Reacting, Lawan’s Special Adviser on Media, Ola Awoniyi also sent his condolence to the families of those who lost their lives in the incident.

The statement reads: “Lawan sends his condolences to the families of those killed in the accident and prays that Allah would comfort them in this time of grief.

“He also commiserated with the Nigerian Air Force and charged the authorities to reinforce their safety measures against future occurrence.”
