Though seemingly unassuming, this village never knew that it held within its embrace the roots and aspirations of one of Nigeria’s most promising political figures: Senator Monday Okpebholo.
Senator Monday Okpebholo, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), for the September Edo governorship election embodies a unique blend of visionary leadership, entrepreneurial acumen, and unwavering dedication to public service. Born and raised in Udomi, Senator Okpebholo’s familial ties to this close-knit community run deep. His father, a respected member of the village, hailed from Udomi Community in Uwessan-Irrua, Esan Central Local Government Area (LGA), while his mother traced her lineage to Ikekiala Community in Eguare-Uromi, Esan North East LGA. The educational journey of Senator Monday Okpebholo commenced within the confines of Udomi Community Primary School, where he laid the foundation for his academic pursuits. His tenure at Ujabhole Community Secondary School served as a crucible, forging within him the qualities of resilience, perseverance, and an unwavering commitment to excellence that would serve him well in the years to come.
Forced by unforeseen circumstances to complete his secondary education, Senator Okpebholo embarked on a new chapter of his academic journey, leaving behind the familiar surroundings of Udomi for the bustling city of Jos, Plateau State. It was here, he completed his Secondary schooling which expanded his horizons and deepened his understanding of the world around him. Armed with a thirst for knowledge and an insatiable appetite for personal growth, he embraced the challenges and opportunities that laid in wait for him – a foundation for a future marked to be marked by achievement .
The allure of distant horizons and the promise of new beginnings notwithstanding, Senator Okpebholo remained rooted in his reverence for his ancestral home and steadfast in his commitment to uplift the communities that had shaped him. warm embrace of his kinsmen. That was when wanted to be the Senator representing Edo Central. Recently his articulation is a vision for a New Edo—a future in which the aspirations of every Edo citizen are heard, and the dreams of every community in the state are realized.
“I am here in my village to meet with my people and inform them about my candidacy for the highest seat in Osadebey Avenue,” Senator Okpebholo declared, his voice resounding with conviction and determination. “The visit was also to solicit their prayers for the journey ahead as the candidate of my party. They prayed for me, and by the grace of God, we will achieve success on the 21st of September, 2024.”
