A CIVIL rights activist and former Senator who represented Kaduna Central at the 8th Nigerian Senate, Shehu Sani, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Senator Sani officially defected from the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at a meeting with party executives on Thursday, September 16, 2021.
Sani had last month met with all the 23 local government Chairmen of the PDP in Kaduna State at his residence to discuss approaches towards the 2023 election.
Meanwhile, Sani’s defection came on a day Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of Aviation, left the PDP for the All Progressives Congress (APC)
