The Team Asue Media Organization has vehemently condemned the recent vandalization of campaign billboards belonging to Dr. Asue Ighodalo, the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State.
Residents in Benin City were shocked to discover widespread defacement and destruction of billboards across several major intersections, including Asoro bus stop, UNIBEN Ekenwan Campus, Agboma junction at Ekenwan road, and Akenzuwa after stadium road junction. These acts of vandalism is not only disheartening but also undermines the democratic process and the fundamental right to free expression.
Despite these malicious attacks, Dr. Asue Ighodalo has demonstrated remarkable composure, addressing issues through proper channels rather than resorting to inflammatory rhetoric. His steadfast commitment to a peaceful and issue-based campaign is commendable and reflects his dedication to the welfare and prosperity of the good people of Edo State.
It is imperative that all candidates and their supporters adhere to the principles of democracy and engage in constructive dialogue rather than resorting to acts of violence or destruction. The future of Edo State depends on our collective ability to engage in a respectful and issue-based discourse that prioritizes good governance and unity above personal or political interests.
