President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of a Youth Secretariat within the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The announcement was made by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, during a ministerial interactive session with FCT youths concerning the planned protest.
Wike emphasised that President Tinubu is committed to the welfare of Nigerians and advised against participating in the upcoming protest scheduled for August 1 to 10.

He encouraged the youth to engage in dialogue with the government rather than resort to violence, which could lead to the destruction of lives and property.
Wike said: “When you asked me that you would love to have a Youth secretariat for the FCTA. I met with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last night and he has approved that we should have the FCTA Youth Secretariat”.
