Two suspects alleged to have snatched a Toyota Vienna car have been arrested by the Edo state police command men.

The Suspects, Henry Yawe and Ukpebor Moses, snatched the car at gunpoint in Benin City.

Investigators arrested them in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.

Police investigations revealed that the victim is a car dealer in the GRA, Benin city.

One of the suspects now at large had called the car dealer to buy a Toyota Vienna car using this mobile phone number 08103945144.

They then bargained and agreed on the sum of N5.7m.

The caller claimed to be a medical doctor requested the car dealer to meet at a bank along M.M Way in Benin city with the car for payment.

The dealer then asked his manager to meet with the said caller with the car.

On getting to the bank premises, he met the suspect Henry Yawe who opted to drive the car for examination.

Police investigation further revealed that moment they drove to M.M way by Esigie Street junction, the suspects asked him to stop to check the engine.

 

Immediately they stopped, another gunman suddenly appeared.

The car vendor was forced to the back seat where the suspect Henry drove the car to Irhirhi in Benin city where they attacked, robbed and shot the car vendor in the leg.

But a medical team resuscitated him later.

The suspect who dumped the car dealer later drove the said car to Uromi in Edo state where he met the said Ukpebor Moses who then gave them a cash sum of N350,000.

Ukpebor Moses then joined the members to Abuja where a buyer was already on standby.

The suspects were arrested in a Hotel in Abuja.

These suspects identify Abe 7smith was contacted to drive the car to the main buyer in Abuja.

Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor who confirmed the incident said other suspects now at large will be fished out for prosecution.

The recovered Toyota Venza car has been released to the owner on bond as the investigation continues.
