Umakhihe Hails Abubakar Momoh On His Emergence As Minister Of Regional Development

Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, the former permanent secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and a former APC governorship aspirant, has praised Hon. Abubakar Momoh on his new role as Minister of Regional Development.

This appointment comes in the wake of President Tinubu’s decision to scrap the Ministry of Niger Delta Development and establish a new Ministry of Regional Development.

The newly formed ministry is tasked with overseeing various regional development commissions, including the Niger Delta Development Commission, North West Development Commission, South West Development Commission, and North East Development Commission.

Dr. Umakhihe expressed optimism about this structural change, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts in regional development.

He believes that under Hon. Momoh’s stewardship, the ministry can effectively address the diverse needs of the regions and foster sustainable growth.

As Nigeria navigates the complexities of regional disparities, the role of the new ministry will be crucial in promoting balanced development across the nation. Dr. Umakhihe added.

Congratulations
