We Want Jobs, Not Sex For Cash, Bayelsa Ijaw Ladies Protest Against Community Leaders [VIDEO]

Olugbobiri community in Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State, was thrown into confusion yesterday when girls numbering over hundred took to the streets of the peaceful community to protest against their political leaders who they claimed engage them in sex for cash trade rather than giving them jobs and sponsoring their education.

The girls who were clad on black, gave their political and traditional leaders two weeks ultimatum to meet with them to address their complains or they would storm the homes and the Oil Companies Operating in the Area staked Naked

In a video obtained by Naija Live TV, the protesting girls, Douye Opuofoni, said “our community is rich in crude oil but we are jobless. Our community has great political leaders and businessmen but our girls don’t get support to go to school. Instead we are being treated like sex dolls.

“The only thing men in our community do with our girls, is to invite them into a hotel or home to have sex in exchange for money. We now have too many fatherless children in our community because this dehumanizing act.

“We are giving all our community leaders an ultimatum of two weeks that would elapse this month end to address us or we would storm their homes stalk naked, and afterwards we would match to all the oil facilities in our community, tie ourselves with dynamite and blow them up.”
